Ex Navayugian's Association (ENA)

 

The Ex-Navayugian Association was formed immediately when its first batch of students passed out of class 12 in year 1979. Having lived together for six years in a day boarding school, these students had their basket full of memories of studies, games, music, swimming, trekking, stage activities and Gandhian philosophy of their first school Principal Mr. J N Dar. How could they make it a thing of past? ‘Stay close forever’ was the only means to retain this treasure. Hence, ENA was born.

 

And the camaraderie engendered by the association has been amazing! Can someone imagine a pass out of 1981 is equally friendly with those passed out in year 1991, 1993, 1995, 1999 and 2002. This association is a thread of friendship running through all these batches. In the annual get-together that is taking place since 1995, everyone gets a chance to meet across different years pass outs. The charm of meeting same batch or cross-batch friends pulls all on the last Sunday of December every year.

 

 

The association is not only a meeting point for the students to meet each other, but also a platform to return the alma mater in form of their activities. The ENA has organized in the past Hindi Debate Competition, Inter School Football tournament, help to the under-privileged at Govt. establishment. The ENA has been instrumental in distributing a trophy in memory of Late J. N. Dar, to the best student at its Founders Day. A newsletter is sent to the ex-students to spread awareness among each other.

 

 

The alumni of the school are spread over all fields of life and excel in respective career due to the Navayugian philosophy of life. This philosophy was passed on through its various Principals who chaired the school from time to time after Mr. J N Dar. Initial successors were Mr. I B Kakkar, Mr. M L Babbar, Mr. P S Rana.  The objective of school was to create good citizens who would serve the humanity with humility. The school has so far produced several, IAS, IPS, IRS, Armed forces Officers, Chartered Accountants, businessmen, bankers, Computer Professionals and Engineering leaders.
